"The country of clamidiosis" in advertizing of condoms has revolted Norwegians

Residents of Norway were revolted by the provocative announcement for tourists placed in some points of the central station of Oslo. The Local with reference to the local edition Dagbladet reports about it. Advertizing of condoms has been created by employees of a supermarket 7-eleven. On the poster it was reported: "Welcome to Norway! The country of chlamydias" — authors obviously hinted at spread of venereal diseases in the country. Besides, designers have represented young Norwegian couple in traditional suits byunada standing against the background of snow-covered mountains and fjords. Council for tourism of Norway VisitNorway recognized advertizing as unseemly. According to members of the committee, similar statements represent Norwegians in obscene light. "It is bad advertizing for Norway, and such image of Norway and Norwegians — accident" — the head of marketing department of VisitNorway has said Matte Ove Rolland (Stein Ove Rolland). Nevertheless the announcement of "the country of chlamydias" has pleased some residents of Norway. The assistant manager for questions of sexual health of public organization Sex og samfunn ("Sex and society") to the Torah Holt Follstad (Tore Holte Follestad) has praised the provocative poster. The man has said that bodies of health care of Norway have to conduct similar campaigns as such advertizing "impartially transfers the important message". "In 2016 in Norway diagnosed more than 26 thousand cases of clamidiosis, and Norwegians badly understand use of condoms. Consequences can cause discomfort, irritation and in the worst cases to reduce birth rate" — Follstad has noted, having added what this disease does infected more susceptible to others venereal with diseases. The press secretary of a supermarket 7-eleven Thea Kjendlie has told that authors of advertizing didn't want to offend anybody. Instead the staff of shop tried to create the involvement and to tell tourists about an important problem. Kjendlie has also noted that the company has received the most different comments about the announcement. It is more than hell and strange news in Tape of a Bottom Telegram-channel. Subscribe!
