On fields of Great Britain traces of ancient civilizations have appeared

Archeologists of Great Britain have found earlier unknown traces of ancient constructions which look as a mark on fields. Nakhodka has become possible thanks to a heat because of which the grass over the ruins hidden by a thin layer of earth grew differently, than on the surrounding area. Science Alert reports about it. As writes the edition, marks specify location of the remains of the base of locks, fortresses, farmer houses and mansions which belong to various periods of time, including by a primitive era (for example, to the Iron Age) or the first half of the 20th century. Some of them are known to scientists, however a long summer drought which analogs weren't from 70th years of the last century, has helped to open also new archaeological monuments. There are several mechanisms of formation of such marks. First, plants because of a heat can dry up completely if they grow directly over stone walls or the base which interfere with accumulation of enough moisture in the soil. In other case water can accumulate in the artificial ditches filled with soil, and then the grass over them, on the contrary, grows better, than in other places. Distinctions become noticeable at rather long periods of a drought therefore in usual conditions ruins remain hidden for many years or decades. The drought of 1976 has helped the British researchers to find a set of new archaeological objects. Scientists consider that 2018 can be so productive, especially, if to consider development of technology of unmanned aerial vehicles which allow to see marks from height.
