Mobileye and Intel will test 250 self-driving cars


The Israeli Mobileye and the American Intel test on roads of 250 pilotless vehicles, for routes of the USA in the nearest future, Germany and Israel 40 more cars will leave. The CEO of Mobileye in Russia Roman Fershter has told the Avtostat agency about it. Now Mobileye works on creation of self-driving cars together with 10 car makers — with BMW, VAG and Here creates the electronic, automatically updating electronic cards on the basis of REM technology (Road Experience Management). He has also reported that within the transaction on acquisition by Intel corporation of the Israeli Mobileye within the tender all shares of the last on 63,5 dollars for security will be acquired. Thus, all enterprise is estimated at 14,7 billion dollars. According to Fischer, within the transaction of Mobileye will keep the name, trademarks and a logo. At the same time the company remains in Israel. The division of Intel of ADG numbering about one thousand people joins Mobileye in which today 600 employees.

He will become the senior vice-president of Intel. In March, 2017 Intel and Mobileye announced the transaction on acquisition of the American corporation of the Israeli firm which is engaged in creation of computer security systems for cars. In this niche of development of Mobileye compete with similar production of Tesla, Apple and Google. The transaction has to become the largest in the history of Israeli hi-tech.
