The management of the Moscow Art Theatre (MAT) of A.P. Chekhov acquitted the actor Igor Vernik who was passed on the SUV on the pedestrian zone in Moscow. It is reported on the website of theater. The administration reminded that after 1998 when Kamergersky Lane became pedestrian, long time for employees remained the right of driving through the street. According to heads of Moscow Art Theatre, Vernik is a law-abiding citizen who became the hostage of administrative disagreements and defects. They added that they in the circumstances are guilty theater which did not assert the rights, city authorities which did not provide logistics of theater and the traffic police which established the prohibition sign despite existence of entrance to Moscow Art Theatre in that place. On the website it is also specified that the actor does not use services of the private security companies. "Moscow Art Theatre after New Year's vacation will more persistently be engaged in the solution of a question of journey on the theater territory in order to avoid repetition of the above described situation" — it is noted in the message.
