Fatally poisonous books have found in the Danish university

The library of the university of the Southern Denmark has found the books covered with strong poison. Sky News reports about it. Scientists have become interested in three books dated the XVI—XVII centuries because for their cover fragments of unknown medieval manuscripts were used. In the course of studying experts have noticed that it became difficult for them to sort texts in Latin because of a dense bed of green paint. The research has shown that it is not paint, but deadly poison. "While we have directed a beam of x-ray radiation to a green surface, we have seen extremely large amount of arsenic" — the associate professor of the Kaare Lund Rasmussen university has told. Now books are placed in the ventilated case. Their contents will be scanned that scientists hadn't to contact to poison. On one of hypotheses, arsenic was applied on covers to protect volumes from insects and rodents. It is more than hell and strange news in Tape of a Bottom Telegram-channel. Subscribe!
